[Amended] Notice of Upcoming In-Unit Window, Sliding Door, and Door Pan Removal & Installation - Building 1160

Dear Resident of Building 1160,

 

We hope this finds you well. We are writing to let you know that as part of the exterior repairs and reconstruction project our contractors will be removing and replacing all existing windows, sliding glass doors, and entry door pans in your unit. To complete these repairs, we will need approximately four (4) days access per unit and will be entering the apartments between 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We anticipate the construction timeline to occur over a four-week period, barring any changes or delays which may extend the forecasted schedule below.

#625 and 626 March 30, 2022 through April 4, 2022
#612 and 615 April 1, 2022 through April 6, 2022
#633 and 634 April 5, 2022 through April 8, 2022
#623 and 624 April 7, 2022 through April 12, 2022
#613 and 614 April 11, 2022 through April 14, 2022
#631 and 632 April 13, 2022 through April 18, 2022
#621 and 622 April 15, 2022 through April 20, 2022
#611 and 616 April 19, 2022 through April 22, 2022

Please Note: This project will require contractors to access the interior of your unit. Access to your unit to perform the work will take approximately 4 days.

Below are two options regarding allowing the contractors access to your unit:

  1. You can be present to allow us access
  2. If you are not home, we will be providing courtesy patrol to unlock doors.

We will provide additional notices with the actual dates of entry and work in your unit as we get closer to the schedule above.

 

Additional Guidelines are provided to you as reference prior to start of work and during the reconstruction phase of the project:

  1. Clear Work Areas: Please clear all personal belongings from all windows and sliding glass door areas; bathroom items such as shampoo razors etc., window curtains/blinds, furniture, plants, etc. at least four (4) feet clearance from the work areas and please remove any door/welcome mats from entry door area.
  2. Wall Vibrations: Please remove or relocate any hanging and fragile items away from the interior walls where window work is being implemented. The contractor will not be responsible for any items damaged if not removed from the walls prior to construction.
  3. Work Hours: The Contractor's working schedule is from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Mondays through Fridays (excluding major holidays). Please avoid the work areas during this period. There will be days that the vendors may not be working onsite to allow applied building materials/products sufficient curing/drying time.
  4. Noise: There will be sporadic, elevated noise from the construction work, particularly during demolition.
  5. Dust: There will be dust resulting from construction work.
  6. Contractor Identification: All contractor field employees will be identified with company safety vests or attire.
    • Please do not approach the workers under any circumstances unless it is an emergency. If you have to pass the work area for any reason, please maintain the regulated six (6) feet distance.
    • All contractors will be wearing face masks for protection and safety
    • All contractors will be undergoing daily temperature checks prior to start of work.
    • Any contractor who shows symptoms of being sick will not be allowed onsite.
  7. Pets: For the safety of your pets and our workers, please provide a secure location for your pets during construction and refrain from these work areas.
  8. Notice and Schedule Changes: This Notice will serve as Notice to Resident. This schedule may be subject to changes, delays. work modifications and operational adjustments due to implementation of safety protocols (including social distancing, sanitation, and other procedures due to Coronavirus/COVID-19), weather, additional damages uncovered, any delays related to mock-ups, additional inspections and testing, value engineering or repair processes, other unforeseen conditions and/or any other issues outside of the construction team's control.
  9. Stay Alert: Please be careful and stay aware of your surroundings when you enter and exit. Access may be rerouted during this period. Please follow the signs accordingly.
