Amended Upcoming Demolition & Reconstruction of Concrete Walkway (Schedule Change)

Dear Valued Residents,

 

As part of the exterior repairs and reconstruction project, our contractors will be performing demolition and reconstruction of the concrete walkway behind building 1120 to the pool entrance by the restrooms, and continuing to the ADA parking. This project will entail loud noise from jackhammers and general construction equipment. The previous start date of the work was Monday, October 31, 2022, but it has been changed. It is now expected to begin on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 through Friday, November 25, 2022. This work is expected to take approximately three (3) weeks.

Note the following highlighted areas:
YELLOW shows the work areas
GREEN shows the path of travel to the laundry room
RED shows the closed rear entrances to Bldgs 1120 & 1130

This work will include but not be limited to:

  • Demolition of existing concrete walkway
  • Compaction of soil and base rock
  • Forming and rebar
  • Concrete pour

Please review the additional guidelines below for your reference:

  1. Path of Travel: Due to this work, this path of travel / thoroughfare will be closed for the duration of the work. Alternate access / paths of travel signs will be posted for your convenience.
  2. Work Hours: The Contractor's working schedule is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Mondays through Fridays (excluding major Holidays). Please refrain from the work areas during this time. There will be days that the contractor may not be working on-site to allow applied building products sufficient curing/drying time.
  3. Noise: There will be very loud noises at times during this work from demolition construction equipment which may include jackhammering and other loud noise.
  4. Dust: There will be dust resulting from our work in these areas. If your unit is close to this area, please keep your doors & windows closed to minimize dust, debris and noise.
  5. Contractor Identification: All Contractor field employees will be identified with company safety vests.
    • Please do not approach the workers under any circumstances unless it is an emergency. If you have to pass the work area for any reason, please maintain the regulated six (6) feet distance.
    • All contractors will be wearing face masks for protection and safety.
    • Any contractor who shows symptoms of being sick will not be allowed onsite.
  6. Notice and Schedule Changes: The posting of this Notice will serve as Notice to Resident. This schedule may be subject to changes or delays due to weather, additional damage uncovered, any delays related to mock-ups, additional inspections and testing, or other unforeseen conditions and/or any other issues outside of the Contractor's control.
  7. Stay Alert: Please be careful and stay aware of your surroundings when you enter & exit. Walkway access may be rerouted during this period. Please follow the signs accordingly.
