Notice of Upcoming Exterior Reconstruction - Building 1180

Dear Residents of Building 1180, 

 

We hope this finds you well. We are writing to let you know that our contracrtor will be setting up additional scaffolding at the remainder of the exterior building to access patios for railing work and exterior paint. We anticipate the reconstruction timeline to occur over a two (2) day period, barring any changes or delays which may extend the forecasted schedule below:

 

Scaffolding Set Up Tuesday, January 4, 2022 - Wednesday, January 5, 2022

 

Note: This project will not require access to the interior of your unit; however, if access to your unit will be deemed necessary, we will provide you with a separate notice as soon as feasible.

Additional Guidelines are provided to you as reference prior to start of work and during the reconstruction phase of the project:

  1. Clear Work Areas: Please clear any personal belongings, furniture, plants, etc. at least 2-feet from the work areas and decks/patios.
  2. Keep Windows and Doors Closed: Please keep all windows and doors near work areas closed during construction.
  3. Items on the Exterior Walls: Please remove or relocate all items in the way of construction.
  4. Work Hours: The Contractor’s working schedule is from 7:30am to 4:30pm Mondays through Fridays (excluding major Holidays). Please avoid the work areas during this period. There will be days that the contractor may not be working on-site to allow applied building products sufficient curing/drying time. 
  5. Wall Vibrations: Remove any wall hangings, personal and fragile items away from interior walls where exterior cladding and window work are being implemented. If the items are not securely attached to the walsl, the vibration may cause the items to fall. We will not be responsible for any items damaged if not removed from the walls prior to construction.
  6. Noise: There will be sporadic, elevated noise from the construction work, particularly during demolition.
  7. Dust: There will be dust resulting from construction work.
  8. Contractor Identification: All Contractor field employees will be identified with company safety vests.
    • Please do not approach the workers under any circumstances unless it is an emergency. If you have to pass the work area for any reason, please maintain the regulated six (6) feet distance. 
    • All contractors will be wearing face masks for protection and safety. 
    • All contractors will be undergoing daily temperature checks prior to start of work.
    • Any contractor who shows symptoms of being sick will not be allowed onsite. 
  9. Pets: For the safety of your pets and our workers, please provide a secure location for your pets during construction and refrain from these work areas.
  10. Notice and Schedule Changes: The posting of this Notice will serve as Notice to Resident. This schedule may be subject to changes, delays, work modifications and operational adjustments due to implementation of safety protocols (including social distancing, sanitation, and other procedures due to Coronavirus/COVID-19), weather, additional damages uncovered, any delays related to mock-ups, additional inspections and testing, value engineering or repair processes, other unforeseen conditions and/or any other issues outside of the construction team's control.
  11. Stay Alert: Please be careful and stay aware of your surroundings when you enter and exit. Pedestrian and automobile accesses may be rerouted during this period. Please follow the signs accordingly.
