Onsite Prevention & Response Update (1)

Stanford University and Welch Road Apartments are aware of growing concerns regarding Coronavirus Disease 2019 / COVID-19.  We are also closely monitoring developments via key resources such as:

We are writing to you now to let you know that your health and wellbeing are of paramount importance to us.  The best strategy against COVID-19 is a preventative strategy, with hygiene and safety at the forefront.  In an effort to promote good hygiene and safety in our community, we ask that you partner with us to:

• Minimize personal interaction as much as possible.
• Smile and wave instead of offering a handshake.
• Stand at the recommended 3-6’ distance between you and others such as our staff.
• Utilize electronic forms of communication with our staff such as submitting rent payments and service requests online.
• Alert us if you are not feeling well and have a service request requiring a staff member to enter your residence.

Welch Road Apartments will be performing routine cleaning of the property including common areas.  Of particular note, this includes once-daily common areas such as stairways, doorways, laundry room, pool areas, which will continue to be available for use at this time.  The common areas are to be used at your discretion.  We simply encourage residents to take their own precautionary measures before and after use or to refrain from use if feeling ill.

If you believe that you have been exposed to COVID-19, you should immediately contact your health provider.  Please avoid coming to the Leasing Office to report any illness symptoms in-person.  Currently, we are not aware of any confirmed cases at Welch Road Apartments, or with any of our associates.

In the event of a COVID-19 diagnosis at one of our residences or with one of our associates, our response plan would include immediately contacting the local and federal health authorities.  All other response measures may vary, depending on the severity of the matter and the guidance of health officials.
